Privacy Policy

A plain-language explanation of what we collect, why, and what happens to it — written for people, not lawyers.

Heal Stammering runs healstammering.com to explain our stammering-training programmes and to let prospective students reach us — by phone, by WhatsApp, or through the registration form on this site. This page sets out, in ordinary language, what we learn about you when you use the site, what we do with it, who else (if anyone) sees it, and what say you have over it. If a sentence here ever reads like it was written for a lawyer rather than for you, tell us and we'll fix it.

Who This Policy Covers

This policy applies to healstammering.com and to conversations you have with us that start here — for instance, a WhatsApp chat opened from a "Chat with us" button, or a call placed to a number listed on this site. It does not extend to WhatsApp, Google, YouTube, Facebook or Instagram themselves; once you're inside one of those apps, their own privacy terms take over.

What We Collect, and When

We only learn things about you when you choose to tell us, or as an automatic byproduct of visiting a website. Specifically:

  • When you fill in the registration form — your full name, your father's or guardian's name, occupation, phone number, an emergency contact, email address, home address, town, state, country, date of birth, gender, which course you're interested in, and a short written account of your stammering. We ask for this much because a real assessment — matching you to the offline or online track, understanding severity, planning accommodation if you're travelling to Bhopal — genuinely needs it; none of it is collected out of habit.
  • When you message or call us directly — whatever you write to us on WhatsApp, say on a phone call, or send by email, plus the basic profile details (name, number, profile photo if you have one) that WhatsApp itself shares with anyone you message.
  • While you browse the site — standard technical details our analytics tool logs automatically, covered under "Analytics & Cookies" below.
  • Your display preferences — whether you've chosen dark mode or light mode, and English or Hindi. These are saved in your own browser only, never sent to us, and reset if you clear your browser's storage.

We deliberately don't ask for anything beyond this. There's no account to create, no password to set, and — as explained below — no payment card details pass through this website at all.

What Actually Happens to a Registration Form

Here's the part most privacy policies skip: the mechanics. Healstammering.com does not run a database that stores your submission. When you finish the registration form, your answers are formatted into a message and handed to a pre-filled WhatsApp chat addressed to our admissions number — but that message is only actually sent once you press "Send" inside your own WhatsApp app. Close the tab before that, and nothing has reached us. Press send, and the conversation lives from that point on as an ordinary WhatsApp chat, held on WhatsApp's own servers and on the phone of whichever team member handles admissions that week, under WhatsApp's privacy terms rather than ours.

The same is true of anything you tell us by phone or email: it stays with the specific people on our small team who handle admissions, training and follow-up — not on a shared server, not in a spreadsheet accessible company-wide. No transmission over the internet or a phone network can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but keeping the data itself out of a central database, rather than layering security on top of one, is a large part of how we limit the risk in the first place.

Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages get read and how visitors find us — nothing more targeted than that. It works via a small script (Google's gtag.js) that sets cookies and logs your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you visit. We look at this data in summarised form; we don't cross-reference it against names or registration details, and no advertising network places tracking cookies on this site.

You're free to block cookies entirely through your browser's own settings, or opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's "Analytics Opt-out" browser extension. Doing either is fine and won't stop you from using the site — the only visible effect is that your theme and language choice will reset on each visit instead of being remembered.

Payment Information

The registration flow shows a ₹1,000 enrollment-fee step with options like UPI, card, net banking or paying in person at the centre. As things stand, this step does not run a live transaction through a payment gateway, and this website never collects or stores a card number, UPI PIN or bank detail. Payment is arranged directly with you afterwards, over WhatsApp or by phone, or handled in person at our Bhopal centre.

How Long We Keep It

We keep enrolment and admissions conversations for as long as they're useful to your training and the lifelong follow-up support we offer graduates — which, for many students, is years. If you'd rather we didn't, see "Your Rights" below; deleting your side of a WhatsApp conversation removes your copy immediately, and asking us to delete ours takes care of the rest. Aggregated analytics data is retained by Google under its own standard retention settings, not indefinitely and not identifiable to you personally.

Who Sees It

We don't sell, rent or trade your information — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. It's seen only by the Heal Stammering staff directly involved in your admissions, training or after-course support. We're a single institute in Bhopal, not a group of companies, so there's no wider network of "affiliates" it could drift into. The one exception is a legal one: if a court or law-enforcement authority in India puts a valid, binding request to us, we'd comply with that, as any organisation is required to.

Links to Other Sites and Embedded Content

Several pages here embed or link out to YouTube videos, our Facebook and Instagram profiles, WhatsApp, and Google Maps or Google Reviews. The moment you interact with one of those — playing a video, following a link — you've left our policy behind and entered theirs. We'd encourage a quick look at each platform's own privacy terms if that matters to you; we have no visibility into, or control over, what they separately collect.

Where Your Data Physically Sits

Because registration and enquiry data lives inside WhatsApp rather than on a server we operate, it's stored wherever WhatsApp (owned by Meta) stores chat data for its Indian users — which may include locations outside India. Our analytics data is likewise processed by Google's global infrastructure. Neither is a choice we make actively for each message; it follows from using those platforms at all. If you'd prefer your enquiry to stay strictly within India, phone or email us instead of using WhatsApp — see "Contact Us" below.

Children and Students Under 18

Our training welcomes students aged 10 and up. For anyone registering under 18, we expect — and the form itself is built to expect — a parent or guardian to be named and involved in that registration. If you're a parent with a question about what we'd hold on your child's behalf, contact us directly and we'll answer plainly.

Your Rights Over Your Data

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and simply as a matter of how we'd want to be treated ourselves, you can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you exactly what information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
  • Delete it, once there's no active training relationship that still needs it.
  • Withdraw consent for us to contact you further, at which point we'll stop.

Reach out using any of the details in "Contact Us" below and we'll act on it personally — there's no ticketing system to get lost in, because there's no large enough team for one.

Security, Realistically

We take reasonable, practical precautions — limiting who on our team can see admissions conversations, and keeping sensitive details out of shared or public channels. What we won't do is claim a guarantee no honest organisation can make: no method of storing or transmitting information online is completely immune to compromise. Our approach is to minimise what we hold and where it sits, rather than to promise perfect security around a large database of it.

Changes to This Policy

If how we handle data changes — a new tool, a new step in the registration flow — we'll update this page to reflect it. We won't backdate a change or apply it retroactively to information already collected under an earlier version without telling you.
